ANGER Management (Movie Appreciation)
How do you manage your anger?
Do you often venge out your frustrations in an aggressive manner? or do you rather surpress that feeling in you?

Last saturday, we watched this film "Anger Management". The show talks about 2 kinds of character, one who let their anger explode, directing outward in an intense bahavior and the other who implode, storing up these resentment until one day lead to an even powerful and inappropraite lashing out.
So how should we deal with such a situation when we are being annoyed and we feel irritably uncontrollerble of our own emotions?
After watching the show, we had a short sharing session where everyone had a chance to voiced out their opinions. We concluded on some behaviours to observed; as Christians we should constantly remind ourselves that we should not hate, speak ill, curse, or contain any vengeful thoughts. All these are sins, and we should avoid behaving in this manner, thus it is not appropriate to express our anger directly at anyone when we are annoyed, neither it is wise to keep everything to ourselves. The matter would not rest if we do not share our feelings openly.
"Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:17-18)
There are many approches to express such feelings, cursing is not encouraged and it serves no purpose. A better way is to approach in an assertive manner, meaning being respectful of yourself and others. Before we approach the perosn who annoyed us, surppressing our feelings and take time to calm down is a good way to help us think clearly what are our needs and how we should get them. When we are ready, we can approach the other party and let them know that we are angry, let them know what we want and to solve the problem in a peaceful manner. =)
